My name’s Lewis, but you already knew that…
Here are some things that maybe you didn’t know 😉
🏴 I was born and raised in West Yorkshire near to Leeds, England
🇬🇧🇪🇸🇫🇷🇮🇹🇧🇷 I speak 5 languages, but to very different levels
👨🏻🏫 I have over 10 years experience teaching English around the world
⚽️ I’m really into my fitness, I love working out, doing marathons and in general, I’m a big sports fan, especially football and I support LUFC
✈️ Travelling is a passion of mine, but I actually hate the action of travelling itself, queueing up, delayed flights, it’s a nightmare
📽 Outside of teaching I consider myself an introvert, there’s nothing I like more than chilling out on my sofa, eating and watching series
🎧 As a language learner myself, I listen to podcasts in different languages on a daily basis but it’s hard to motivate myself to write or speak in those languages, I know, I’m a bit of a hypocrite 😅

How I Believe We Should Learn Languages
I’ve always loved languages, for me, learning languages opened up so many doors and gave me the possibility to travel the world while interacting with people from all walks of life. By knowing foreign languages you are able to really understanding the culture of a people.
When I first started teaching English I wanted to apply many of the methods I used in my own learning in order to help others take their English to the next level to pass that IELTS exam, meet native English speakers and maybe even just start dating internationally.
So, what do I recommend? Well, in a nutshell, immersion is key, immerse yourself in English by listening to podcasts, watching series and more.
In order to speak English, you need to speak
Many English learners are afraid of speaking and making mistakes because they’re worried others will make fun of them. Well, this is silly. I used to be scared of exposing myself and practising my languages but it’s the only way to progress as we learn from our mistakes. Trust me, you’re ten times more likely to remember an error you made when it’s in a memorable situation and perhaps it’ll make you and your friends laugh at the same time. That said, the more you put yourself out there and go out of your comfort zone to speak English, the easier it will become and the quicker you’ll go from a shy intermediate level to being fully fluent and nailing your next business presentation or meeting in English. You’ve got this!
Would you like to immerse yourself in English to finally feel confident when speaking?
If that’s the case then I have the ideal solution for you, it’s Lewis’ English Club. The place for intermediate and advanced students to get together for speaking classes, have an expert English teacher ready at all times to ask any questions you might have, teach you a new word of the day to continue to expand your vocabulary and on top of all that, a specific Business English Masterclass every single month.
